We’re beyond happy to announce that Stigma Diabolicum will play the mighty Inferno Festival in Oslo, come easter 2027!

The Inferno Metal Festival is a bastion in the Norwegian, and international extreme metal scene alike. Gathering fans from all over the globe to celebrate extreme metal in it’s many dark forms since 2001.

We are excited to be able to perform the old songs from the early Stigma Diabolicum and Thorns demos for the Inferno crowd.

See the Inferno Festival web site for more information and lineup of the festival.

Pictures and review from Graveyard Gig

Eternal Terror has posted some photos and a review from the Graveyard Gig, Notodden.

The legendary Norwegians STIGMA DIABOLICUM – doing their comeback after 36 years (…) to perform live material from the early demos of Stigma Diabolicum and Thorns. They are now featuring original members Marius Vold and Harald Eilertsen and have figured out a really fantastic way to bring back to life their proto black metal from Grymyrk and Trøndertun demos. The chosen pilgrim-black outfits, with long robes and tall hats, adds an extra pinch of something diabolic on the stage. While some are probably only looking for a sound similar to the old-style tapes of the 90s, I’m glad to have witnessed their songs in a more arranged and stage-ready fashion, even if this doesn’t add any level of coziness to this evil music. The band has some more upcoming shows for the next year, so the fans of early Norwegian black metal tunes get more chances to catch them live. Well worth the experience!

Stigma Diabolicum – Home (rehearsal, Aug 29, 2026)

We had the great fortune of a visit from Finn Håkon Rødland in our rehearsal room this Saturday. He captured the above video, and snapped a few photos, one of which can be seen below.

Always an honour to have people with such dedication to black metal come to visit us and give us some feedback and their thoughts.
